The rare nature of this comedy, which surrounds the family life of a gay couple, will be a challenge for the two main actors. No matter how amusing the dialogue can be, the portrayals have to be one hundred per cent convincing.

Although the couple gains sympathy from Bob’s sisters and their husbands, the constant struggle with Bob’s mother Vera is there to haunt them. Oddly enough, it is this mother-son relationship, which provides much of the humour. Finally all the family have to decide whether they rally round them or not.
